BOGON	Bogon Network	Bogon filtering is the practice of filtering bogons, which are bogus (fake) IP addresses of a computer network.
BOT	BOT Network, BOT System	Alternatively referred to as a zombie network, a botnet (botnetwork) is a group of infected computers that are under the control of one or more individuals. The infected computers are used to perform tasks impossible for a single computer, such as distributing millions of SPAM e-mail’s or a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack.

Domain Name Server	DNS, Domain Name Services	The system that automatically translates Internet addresses to the numeric machine addresses that computers use.
Internet Service Provider	ISP	The vendor in which your environment has contracted with in order to gain access to the internet (ie: Verizon, Comcast, etc).
Malware		software that is specifically designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to a computer system.
Point of Presense	PoP, WAN	typically considered the point in your environment where you modem/router connects to the internet.
Ransomware		a type of malicious software designed to block access to a computer system until a sum of money is paid.
TOR	TOR Network, TOR System	An open source privacy network that permits users to browse the web anonymously. Tor was initially developed and solely used by the US Navy to censor government communications before the network was made available to the public. Tor is short for The Onion Router.
